I received this letter on my birthday two years ago and I couldn’t stop crying…我哭了...
Dear Ms Tan,
I hope this email finds you well. In fact, I have no idea if you are still using this email address. After 21 years, your naughty student from KSPS is now a primary school teacher for several years. I left MOE for my current position in Kuala Lumpur and am now happily teaching. I hope to hear you laugh like you did many years ago.
Though I may not be the ideal student in the past, but I've always wished you could see me teach and nag during my classes and hope that you know that I've never forgotten your teachings all this time.
I've never thought I would become a teacher, much less that I would enjoy teaching so much. I'm truly blessed and am thankful to have you lighting a torch of guidance in my early years, that guided me through my darkest times in life.
I sincerely wish that you will always be wealthy in health and happiness, to continue the good work that you have done so many years ago.
